Nritya Sambhavana by Samhita Kumar Samhita Kumar, presented a spectacular performance at the prestigious platform - Music Academy in Chennai, India on January 6, 2007. Samhita is a gifted dancer. Her natural talent and deep love for this art enriches all who are associated with her, be it at the dance school or at her high school, Georgetown Day. Her interest and constant focus was welcomed by all the teachers at Kalamandapam, who took the time and effort to guide and support her in her endeavour. Practicing constantly was no easy task, especially during the school year. Whether it was at 5:30 in the morning, 10:30 at night, or the majority of the weekend, Guru Sadanand's rigorous training had kept Samhita very busy . When anyone else would have dropped dead after the first hour, she made it past the 3rd and 4th with only one goal in mind, to practice till perfection. It required a great deal of willpower from her, setting aside time during the week for a solid practice of six consecutive dance items. After viewing her concentration and dedication, Guru Mirnalini Sadanand choreographed two extremely advanced and dramatic pieces, Bhaja Govindam and Thillana, in addition to the other six pieces for the event, which she performed flawlessly. Read her review in the Times Of India, January 2007. Some scenes from the event.
